Congratulations to Tamara Sahagian and Rebecca Blake, Our Newest Licensed Architects

image

c|a ARCHITECTS is pleased to announce that Project Architects Tamara Sahagian and Rebecca Blake have successfully earned their architecture licenses in the state of California. The California Board of Architects examines three separate aspects of an individual’s architectural development, including education, experience, and examination, to assess knowledge, skills and ability to practice architecture in the state of California.

Tamara joined our company in 2010 as a Designer, then steadily advanced to Project Architect. Well recognized as an asset to internal teams and clients alike, Tamara is known for her skill and ingenuity.

For a little more than two years, Tamara quietly dedicated her personal time on nights and weekends preparing to earn her architect’s license. After successfully completing the Architect Registration Examination (ARE), Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and California Supplemental Examination (CSE), she announced to the c|a ARCHITECTS team with her news: she was officially a licensed architect.

Not only did Tamara pass all of the required exams, she was able to complete each test on her first attempt!

Rebecca launched her career in architecture and construction more than 15 years ago, but found her calling in healthcare architecture nearly six years ago. With the attainment of her architecture license, she is now better positioned to elevate her focus on the user experience, focusing not just on the technical stipulations of space development, but on how a space is used from a holistic perspective.

“As a licensed architect with multiple years of experience, I am delighted to focus my time and energy within our medical planning department, which is the perfect fit for my skills,” says Rebecca. “My goal is to create a space that is comfortable and easily understood by its users. It's not just fitting the program requirements, but envisioning the three-dimensional space as a whole. I am thrilled to now have the credential that backs up my 15-plus years of real-life experience.”

As licensed architects, Tamara and Rebecca are firmly positioned to take their roles within c|a ARCHITECTS, and their active involvement in providing our clients with purpose-driven architectural and design solutions, to new levels. Congratulations from our entire team!

Reinforcing our commitment to advancing healthcare architecture, and furthering our focus on neonatal and pediatric design, c|a ARCHITECTS is pleased to welcome Chad Kurz as project manager.

Chad brings nearly 20 years of experience to the c|a ARCHITECTS team.
