Providence Health & Services Southern California had the available space needed to integrate an additional Linear Accelerator to better serve client needs. In order to support staff efficiencies and improve the patient experience, the team relocated and enlarged the control room to provide a comfortable patient interview area and separate control space. A patient changing area was also added adjacent to the treatment room to better support patient through-put. Large equipment and storage located behind the treatment space was camouflaged with backlit glass graphic panels to minimize patient views. A light neutral palette with warm wood tones and adjustable lighting promotes a sense of calm in what can be an intimidating environment.
