Torrance Memorial Medical Center an affiliate of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center was looking to introduce a new family-centered comprehensive care medical complex to serve residents of El Segundo, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Hawthorne, Lawndale and Gardena.

The c|a team strategized design concepts to contextually integrate a 40,450-sq.ft. medical office building into the new Nash Street Exchange development. Concrete tilt-up construction allowed the building to meet the necessary speed to market while supporting the desired contemporary California aesthetic. To meet the healthcare needs of every family member, the complex includes primary care, pediatrics and obstetrics/gynecology, urgent care as well as general surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, an on-site endoscopy center, lab and imaging center.

The light, modern retail-inspired design thoughtfully integrates family-focused healthcare services into the heart of a vibrant mixed-use development—making healthcare an engaging and approachable component of this community hub.
